Georgia caps the notarial fee itself at $2 per act — $2 to administer an oath, $2 to attend and make proof, $2 for every other certificate — and O.C.G.A. §45-17-11(b) makes it unlawful to charge more than $4 for any one service. The statute also requires the notary to tell you the permitted fee before performing the act. What Georgia does not regulate is travel, so a mobile visit is the $2 statutory act plus an agreed-upon travel charge, and we quote both parts by text before we dispatch.
